On August 23, at the Fortitude Music Hall in Fortitude Valley, Australia, former champion Skye Nicolson (14-1, 3 KOs) faced India’s Urvashi Singh (12-4, 7 KOs) for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental title in the Super Bantamweight division (55.3 kg / 122 lbs).
The fight ended early — Nicolson dropped her opponent in the second round, and Singh was unable to beat the referee’s count. KO 2.
For Skye Nicolson, this marked her second straight stoppage win — in July, the Australian also secured a second-round victory over Karla Gonzalez.
The defeat snapped Urvashi Singh’s four-fight winning streak.
