Serhiii Lapin, co-founder of the Ready to Fight platform and director of unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk’s team (22-0, 14 KOs), spoke about the implementation of cutting-edge technologies during the training camp for Usyk’s highly anticipated rematch against former champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
"The key improvement has been the deep integration of a scientific approach into the preparation process. This fall, our online platform Ready to Fight collaborated with leading experts from the Institute of Sport Science in Katowice, Poland, and the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami.
As a result, our training camp benefited from world-class experts in sports science and medicine. They focused on optimizing the champion’s physical and cognitive abilities through advanced monitoring and research, as well as planning daily schedules, training regimens, nutrition, and brain function exercises," said Lapin.
The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury will take place on December 21 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In their first encounter, the Ukrainian emerged victorious via split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years.
