American boxer Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) has revealed that he placed a bet of two million dollars on his own victory in the match against WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs).
Ryan posted a screenshot of a news article stating, "Ryan Garcia reportedly wagered two million dollars on himself in the bout against Devin Haney and received a payout of twelve million dollars."
"If you're going to bet, bet on yourself. In addition to what we did. About 50 million (probably more) in one night, not too bad. I will let God guide me on how to use this money," Garcia wrote.
On April 21, Ryan Garcia defeated Devin Haney. Despite the loss, Devin remains the WBC champion since Ryan did not meet the weight limit and was not eligible for the title.
