Richard Commey Scores First Win Since 2023

On the night of September 1 in Detroit, USA, a six-round Welterweight bout (66.7 kg) took place between former world champion Richard Commey (31-5-1, 28 KOs) and William Jackson (13-7-2, 5 KOs).

The fight ended with Commey winning by technical knockout in the second round.

For Commey, it was his first bout since March 2023, when the Ghanaian was knocked out in the 11th round by Jose Ramirez. In December 2021, Richard faced Vasyl Lomachenko and lost by unanimous decision.

For Jackson, this was his fifth straight defeat. In April, the American was knocked out in the first round by Omari Jones.
