Reigning WBA and WBO Cruiserweight champion Gilberto Ramirez discussed how, in his opinion, the meeting against David Benavidez will end.
“We can expect a war on May 2. We are waiting for history – two Mexicans will fight for a world champion title. For a long time there hasn't been such a thing, and now it will happen.
May 2 will be an exciting, extremely exciting fight. I think everything will end with a judges' decision. People will see a really exciting confrontation, a good fight. People do not expect exactly how it will be, but they will really see boxing,” said Ramirez.
Previously, it was Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) who announced the fight against Benavidez (31-0, 25 KOs). The bout will take place on May 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
