Jai Opetaia and Noel Mikaelian Are Negotiating a Fight

IBF Cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia and WBC titleholder in the same division Noel Mikaelian are negotiating a unification bout. This is reported by the promotional company Tasman Fighters, which represents Opetaia's interests.

“The path to unification fights has opened for the world number one in the Cruiserweight division and former Australian Olympian Jai Opetaia,” says the statement.

On December 6, Jai Opetaia (29-0, 23 KOs) defeated Huseyin Cinkara by knockout in the 8th round.

On December 13, Noel Mikaelian (28-3, 12 KOs) defeated Badou Jack in a rematch by unanimous decision and won the WBC Cruiserweight title.
