
Nigerian police have filed charges against the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident that carrying former British world champion Anthony Joshua.
The Ogun State Police Command reported that the 46-year-old driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, did not possess a driver’s license. Kayode faces four charges:
– Dangerous driving causing death;
– Negligent and reckless driving;
– Driving without due care and attention, causing bodily injury and property damage;
– Driving without a valid national driver’s license.
The accused has been remanded in custody until bail conditions are met. The bail is set at 5,000,000 Naira.
As a reminder, two of Anthony Joshua's trainers, Sina and Latz, died in the accident. Police confirmed that the vehicle was exceeding the speed limit.
