Hatton: "You See the Shape Fury is in Now"

In an interview with Spinbet, British former two-weight world champion Ricky Hatton commented on the upcoming fight for the undisputed heavyweight world title (over 90.7 kg) between the holder of the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 13 KOs), and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).

"I see Tyson as the favorite, but not as clearly as I thought before. I'm in Team Fury, I support all the Furys. I'm very close to their family.

The condition he showed up in for Francis Ngannou wasn't his best. He was heavier than usual, and Francis turned out to be better than we all thought.

I was in Saudi Arabia, it was a wonderful event. All the champions gathered there, Eminem was performing. Since it was Ngannou's first fight, Fury lost a bit of concentration and underestimated him.

You see the shape Fury is in now. He's lean and fit, as he should be. I think this is the best thing that could have happened to him before fighting Usyk. He's starting from scratch and knows he needs to be on top of his game, and I think he will be," said Hatton.

The fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
