WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) has responded to the possibility of a showdown with Japan’s two-time undisputed world champion Naoya Inoue (27-0, 24 KOs).
"I started watching him a few years ago. He's a fighter among fighters. If you want to see a complete fighter, he’s one of them. If I drop down to super featherweight and he moves up a bit, it would be cool to fight him. But I don’t see myself in the ring against him. It’s a matter of size," Davis said.
Inoue's next fight is scheduled for September 3 in Tokyo, where he will make his second defense of the undisputed championship against TJ Doheny. We previously discussed the fight, shared statistics, and offered a prediction for the matchup.
