On December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) defeated Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) by unanimous decision in their highly anticipated rematch.
After the result was announced, IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) entered the ring and proposed a rematch with Usyk. The Ukrainian champion didn’t hesitate to accept the challenge.
“No problem. Your Excellency,” Usyk said, addressing Turki Alalshikh, the head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority. “Arrange a fight for me with Daniel Dubois. Thank you very much.”
In their previous encounter in August 2023, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois with a ninth-round knockout.
