Before the bout against Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs), British boxer Derek Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) met with Oleksandr Usyk. The Ukrainian two-time undisputed champion and co-founder of Ready To Fight visited Chisora's locker room to support him in the fight.
Later, Derek shared a story about how his friend from the USA donated money to help Ukraine through Usyk.
"One of my American friends, who is a billionaire, asked me to connect him with someone from Ukraine because he wanted to donate money to the country for charity.
I know a few guys from Ukraine, so I connected him with Usyk. My friend ended up donating 2 or 3 million," Chisora said.
In his first major interview after the fight against Fury, Usyk also spoke about helping Ukraine and the children's hospital "Okhmatdyt," which was attacked by the terrorist state, Russia.
In November 2020, Oleksandr Usyk and Derek Chisora fought, with the Ukrainian winning by decision.
On the night of July 28, Chisora defeated Joe Joyce, sending him to the canvas during the fight. Here, we provided details about the fight, including statistics and what's next for the boxers.
