Yoka and Okolie Name Desired Opponents: Tony on Lawrence’s List, While the Frenchman Omits the Brit

Tony Yoka, Lawrence Okolie

Heavyweight boxers Tony Yoka, 33, and Lawrence Okolie, 33, named their desired future opponents during a joint interview following the Agit Kabayel vs. Damian Knyba bout on January 10.

Tony Yoka listed several names, but Okolie was not among them:

“Anyone, man. Like I said, I want anybody, any names. I called out Kabayel for a fight, but he had other plans. I’ve called out Joyce. I would love to face Joe Joyce. Just let him sign the contract.”

Lawrence Okolie, however, did include Yoka on his shortlist:

“I’m not going to say ‘anyone.’ My top names are: Kabayel, then Moses Itauma, and after that—Tony Yoka. I’m serious.”

Okolie (23-1, 17 KOs) is coming off a second-round stoppage victory over Ebenezer Tetteh in his most recent fight. Yoka (15-3, 12 KOs) is currently on a four-fight winning streak, having successfully moved past a difficult period where he suffered three consecutive losses. He has remained undefeated since 2024.
