French Heavyweight boxer Tony Yoka recorded a video in which, wearing his Olympic gold medal, he rewatched his fight against Brit Joe Joyce and addressed his former opponent.
“Hey Joe, I’ve just been rewatching the video, man. I miss you. So what — are you in? Sign the contract,” Yoka said.
The 33-year-old Tony Yoka (14-3, 11 KO) fought the 40-year-old Joe Joyce (16-4, 15 KO) in the summer of 2016 at the Olympic Games in Rio. Yoka won that bout — it was the tournament final.
As a pro, Joyce is on a two-fight losing streak, having lost to Derek Chisora and Filip Hrgovic. Yoka snapped a three-fight skid in 2024 and now has three straight wins — two by stoppage and one by decision.
