Why McIntyre Is in Eubank’s Camp – Chris Explains

The IBO Middleweight Champion Chris Eubank Jr. explained why he once again brought trainer Brian “BoMac” McIntyre into his training camp — the same coach who worked with him before another rematch, against Liam Smith.

“I didn’t bring Brian McIntyre in to teach me how to score knockouts. I wanted a different camp, a different philosophy, a different strategy, a different game plan. No top trainer works solely on how to get a knockout.

We’re preparing for a 12-round war because that’s how the fight might unfold. But in my mind, the goal is to do everything possible to stop him earlier. And yes, McIntyre and the team will help me execute that plan.

There’s a reason the fight in April looked the way it did. Now it’s up to me to make sure this guy doesn’t see the 12th round. I won’t explain why things dragged out back then, but there’s a chance that in November, we’ll see a completely different fight,” Eubank said.

Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) and Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) will face off on November 15. In their first encounter, Eubank won by judges’ decision.
