WBC Orders Whittaker vs Buatsi; Winner Becomes Mandatory Challenger

The WBC, at its 63rd Congress, has ordered a fight between Light Heavyweights Ben Whittaker and Joshua Buatsi. It will serve as a final eliminator for mandatory-challenger status for the title held by David Benavidez.

Earlier, the Benavidez team stated they were ready to fight Whittaker, and David himself also spoke about wanting to box in the United Kingdom.

In his previous bout, Ben Whittaker won by first-round knockout, while Joshua Buatsi defeated Zach Parker by decision.
