Vovchanchyn Wants Usyk to Play Him Again in a Potential Biopic

Former MMA fighter Igor Vovchanchyn says he would like to see Oleksandr Usyk, the three-time undisputed boxing champion, portray him again in a potential biographical film. Usyk previously played a cameo role as Vovchanchyn in the movie The Smashing Machine.

“I really did break Kerr psychologically. But that was my job.

I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t show our second fight in the film — I won that one too. It was a very competitive bout, and I managed to turn things around only in overtime. But overall, I liked it. The storyline was interesting, and the acting was good.

It would be great if Usyk played me again. We just need to hint about it to Dwayne Johnson. I’d be happy if The Rock made the next sports drama about me, and Usyk portrayed my character again. So write that I’m waiting for an offer from Dwayne Johnson,” Vovchanchyn said.

The film was released in early October.
