Viktor Vykhryst scores 29-second KO to win WBO European heavyweight title

Ukrainian heavyweight Viktor Vykhryst (17-1, 11 KOs) scored a blistering victory over North Macedonia’s Todorche Cvetkov (14-4, 11 KOs).

The bout ended just 29 seconds into the first round, as Vykhryst knocked out his opponent to claim the WBO European heavyweight title. The fight took place in Flensburg, Germany.

Initially, Vykhryst was expected to step into the ring on 10 January on the undercard of the clash between interim WBC heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel and Poland’s Damian Knyba, but that appearance fell through.

Vykhryst, 33, had his previous fight on 10 October, when he stopped Bosnia’s Bojan Cestic in Romania.
