Three-division undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk is preparing for legal changes in his career. According to American journalists, the Ukrainian boxer is one step away from concluding a contract with a new promotional company from the United States.
American journalist Steve Kim reported that three-division undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk may soon officially formalize a partnership with a new partner in the USA. This refers to an agreement with a promotional company based on the West Coast.
According to the insider, this contract is intended to cover the final stage of the Ukrainian boxer's professional career.
“I’m told that heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk is about to sign a new promotional deal with a young, West Coast-based company. This deal will likely cover the final stage of his Hall-of-Fame-level career,” Kim noted.
This information correlates with previous statements made by the boxer's manager, Egis Klimas. He previously confirmed that the promotion of Oleksandr's next fight would be handled by "another group from the United States," though at that time he declined to reveal details, citing the lack of official paperwork.
As a reminder, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) plans to hold his next bout in the USA. Former world champion Deontay Wilder is being named as the likely opponent for the Ukrainian.
