Serhii Lapin on Daniel’s win over Edmondson: “He felt what true pro boxing is”

Serhii Lapin, brother of the WBA Continental, WBO International, and IBF Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight titleholder Daniel Lapin and CEO of Oleksandr Usyk’s team, commented on his victory over Britain’s Lewis Edmondson.

“For Daniel, it was a huge experience. He felt what true professional boxing is when an opponent is willing to do anything to win: push you out of the ring, step on your foot, hit anywhere possible.

We will take lessons from this, and Daniel will come back even stronger. I believe that after a few fights, we will definitely consider a rematch if Lewis’s team is ready.

Daniel will continue to fight in the UK. He really enjoys the atmosphere there. No one in the world values boxing like the fans in Britain. In boxing, it’s one of the most passionate countries on the planet,” said Serhii Lapin.

On July 19, Daniel Lapin (12-0, 4 KOs) defeated Lewis Edmondson (11-1, 3 KOs) by majority decision. Judges’ scorecards: 95-95 and twice 96-94 in Lapin’s favor. Serhii’s next fight will take place on November 1 in Manchester, UK, against Troy Jones (12-1, 6 KOs).
