American boxer Ryan Garcia has posted a video announcing that he has signed the contract to face WBC Welterweight world champion Mario Barrios.
“I’m very tired right now. It’s been a long day, but I promised you I’d show this video — the announcement of my next fight. Here’s the contract, just like I told you. We’re at the last page. Boom — that’s it. Signed.
I will be fighting for the real WBC world title against Mario Barrios on February 21. Get ready, I’m coming,” Garcia said.
In May, Ryan Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) returned to the ring after a one-year suspension to face Rolando Romero, losing by unanimous decision. Garcia was knocked down in the second round.
In July, Mario Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs) earned his second consecutive draw in a bout against Manny Pacquiao.
