Parker on Queensberry: “Wardley is one of theirs. From this side of the world”

Former heavyweight world champion Joseph Parker spoke about the potential reaction of Queensberry Promotions, with whom he is currently aligned. Fabio Wardley, who stopped Parker, also fights under the Queensberry banner.

— Do you think Queensberry and Frank Warren are happy with the result?

— Probably. Who really knows? Fabio Wardley is one of theirs. He’s a fighter from this side of the world (the UK). He’s not from New Zealand, not from Samoa, not from Australia. You just have to accept that.

— Will your next fight also be with Queensberry?

— I have the option to organize my next fight with Frank (Warren). Or we can stage the fight independently.

The fight against Wardley ended by knockout in the 11th round. At the moment of the stoppage, Parker was ahead on two of the three scorecards.
