“Waiting for the Final Decision.” Pacquiao on Possible Fights With Lomachenko and Mayweather

Former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao spoke about ongoing negotiations for his next fight, which could potentially be against Vasiliy Lomachenko or Floyd Mayweather.

“Right now, there are active negotiations, so it’s difficult to say which fight I’ll announce next. I’m waiting for the final decision. We have a lot of discussions going on regarding my next bout.

A rematch with Floyd Mayweather is possible, as well as a fight with Lomachenko or other opponents. Very soon, we will make the final announcement on which fight will happen.

I would love to have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, so I hope we can reach an agreement and conclude negotiations successfully.” said Pacquiao

Pacquiao has already confirmed that talks with both Mayweather and Lomachenko are underway.

Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KO) and Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KO) met in May 2015, where Mayweather won by unanimous decision. Mayweather’s last official bout took place in August 2017, when he stopped Conor McGregor in the 10th round. Pacquiao returned to the ring in July after a four-year break and fought to a draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.
