Oscar Collazo Successfully Defends Titles Against Veison

On September 21 at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California, Oscar Collazo (13-0, 10 KOs) retained his WBA Super and WBO Minimumweight (105 lbs / 47.6 kg) titles with a seventh-round TKO victory over Jason Veison (14-2-1, 8 KOs).

After a sustained attack from Collazo in round seven, Veison’s corner threw in the towel to stop the fight.

For the 28-year-old Puerto Rican, it marked his third consecutive stoppage win. Back in March, he stopped Edwin Cano in the fifth round.

For Veison, 27, this was the second defeat of his career, snapping a four-fight winning streak.
