Olascuaga Overwhelms Camacho

On the night of September 12 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Las Vegas, USA, WBO Minimumweight champion Anthony Olascuaga (10-1, 7 KOs) faced Juan Carlos Camacho (19-2, 8 KOs).

The bout ended in a quick victory for Olascuaga — in the second round, the champion poured on punches with no response from Camacho, forcing the referee to stop the fight. TKO 2.

For Olascuaga, this was his third successful title defense. In March, the American defeated Hiroto Kyoguchi by unanimous decision.

This marked the second loss of Camacho’s career and his first inside the distance. The Puerto Rican had not lost since 2017, when he was beaten by majority decision against Edwin Rodriguez.
