It has been officially announced that former lightweight world champion Keyshawn Davis will face Jamaine Ortiz.
The Americans will meet at junior welterweight (up to 63.5 kg / 140 lbs) on 31 January in New York, USA, on the undercard of the showdown between Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez.
Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) last stepped into the ring in February, when he knocked out Denys Berinchyk in the fourth round to capture the WBO lightweight world title.
In June, Davis was scheduled to face Edwin De Los Santos, but he failed to make weight, resulting in the fight being canceled and Davis being stripped of his title. In December, Keyshawn announced he had completely changed his team.
In August, Jamaine Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs) stopped Ambiorix Bautista by third-round TKO.
