Navarrete and Nuñez Get Date and Venue

WBO super featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete and IBF titleholder Eduardo Nuñez now have an official date and location for their unification bout, The Ring reports.

The two Mexican champions will meet on March 7 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The fight will be broadcast live on DAZN.

Before moving forward with Nuñez, Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1, 32 KO) first needed approval from Charlie Suarez, as the WBO had ordered an immediate rematch. Their previous fight ended with Navarrete winning via stoppage due to a cut — but the result was later overturned to a No Contest after Suarez appealed, arguing that the cut came from a legal punch.

Eduardo Nuñez (29-1, 27 KO) has not lost since 2018. During that stretch, he has won 19 straight fights, with 17 of those victories coming by knockout.
