Muratalla and Schofield Teams in Talks Over Fight

The camps of IBF Lightweight champion Raymond Muratalla and unbeaten contender Floyd Schofield are negotiating a fall showdown, reports The Ring.

The fight is being targeted for November, with streaming service DAZN expected to broadcast the event.

For the deal to materialize, both promotional sides must reach common ground — Muratalla is represented by Top Rank, while Schofield fights under Golden Boy Promotions. Earlier this month, the two companies failed to strike an agreement for a clash between Vergil Ortiz and WBO Junior Middleweight champion Xander Zayas.

In May, Raymond Muratalla (23-0, 17 KOs) outpointed Zaur Abdullaev by unanimous decision. Following Vasyl Lomachenko’s retirement, the American was elevated to IBF Lightweight world champion.

Floyd Schofield, 23 (19-0, 13 KOs), made a statement in June when he demolished Tevin Farmer by first-round knockout.
