American Heavyweight Michael Hunter, 37, has voiced his desire to step into the ring with 32-year-old WBC Interim champion Agit Kabayel.
“I think Agit Kabayel would be a good opponent. I believe it’s a really good fight.
He’s in the bogeyman category — and those are exactly the guys I love to fight,” said Hunter in a conversation with Chris Mannix on his YouTube channel.
Michael Hunter (24-1-2, 17 KOs) last fought in December, when he stopped Cristian Larrondo Garcia in the fifth round.
Earlier, The Ring reported on a planned fight between Hunter and Jarrell Miller for September 11. However, promoter Don King stated that Hunter is still under contract with him.
In February, Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18 KOs) produced a commanding performance against Zhilei Zhang, knocking out the Chinese contender in the sixth round.
