Teofimo and Shakur Face Off

WBO Super Lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez and WBC Lightweight titleholder Shakur Stevenson squared off during the weigh-in ceremony for the Saul Alvarez vs Terence Crawford card.

Later, Lopez officially announced their showdown for early next year.

“Tune in at the start of 2026! It’s happening! Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez. Sugar and sweet. We’ll make it beautiful for you,” Lopez said.

Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) last fought in May, defeating Arnold Barboza by unanimous decision.

In July, Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over interim WBC Lightweight champion William Zepeda.
