Lomachenko Among Candidates to Face Pacquiao

According to Spin, former eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao, 46, could return to the ring in a matchup against 37-year-old former champion from Ukraine Vasyl Lomachenko.

“The organization of this fight is still in its early stages,” said Pacquiao’s longtime advisor and lawyer Brando Viernesto.

This potential showdown has been discussed before — both Pacquiao and Lomachenko spent many years under the Top Rank promotional banner.

Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) plans to return to the ring in early 2026. Earlier this year, he faced Mario Barrios, with the bout ending in a draw. Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) last fought in 2024, when he captured the IBF lightweight title, before announcing his retirement in 2025.
