Kubrat Pulev Crowned New WBA Regular Heavyweight Champion

On December 7 in Sofia, Bulgaria, a bout for the WBA Regular Heavyweight title (over 90.7 kg) took place between local boxer Kubrat Pulev (32-3, 14 KOs) and Germany's Mahmoud Charr (34-5, 20 KOs).

The fight went the full 12 rounds, culminating in Pulev's victory by unanimous decision. The judges scored the bout 117-111, 117-111, and 116-112 in favor of Kubrat.

In March, Pulev defeated Igor Shevadzutskyi by unanimous decision, while Charr knocked out Nuri Seferi in the second round last December.
