Krassyuk Shares His Thoughts on a Usyk–Jake Paul Fight

Former promoter Alex Krassyuk weighed in on a potential bout between undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and influencer-boxer Jake Paul.

“People are talking about this fight a lot right now. But it cannot be a boxing match—because that would be murder.

Even a cage fight leaves the young YouTuber with no chance. Still, money talks, and the event could generate serious numbers.

As for the influence of Jake and Logan Paul? Every coin has two sides. On one hand, the Paul brothers bring hundreds of millions of young fans into boxing. On the other hand, they distort the essence of the sport by stepping into the ring with MMA veterans and long-retired legends.

I believe that the moment Jake Paul legitimately beats a top-level professional boxer, he will earn the boxing community’s respect,” Krassyuk said.

On 19 July, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round, becoming an undisputed world champion for the third time. After the bout, Usyk and Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) faced off in a tense staredown.
