Official: Karen Chukhadzhian’s Opponent Named for October 11

It has been confirmed that 29-year-old former IBF world title challenger Karen Chukhadzhian will face 28-year-old Argentine Joel Marcos Mafuad on October 11 at the Xiaomi Arena in Riga, Latvia.

On the line will be the IBF International and WBO International Welterweight titles (147 lbs). The event will be broadcast live on DAZN and Fightplus.

On May 10, Chukhadzhyan (25-3, 13 KOs) defeated Cristian Javier Ayala by unanimous decision, bouncing back after his November 2024 loss to former unified Welterweight champion Jaron Ennis.

Joel Marcos Mafuad (13-1, 5 KOs) most recently stopped Jose Acevedo via 7th-round TKO on August 8, extending his winning streak to four.
