Junto Nakatani Defeats Reyes by Decision

On December 27, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of "The Ring V: Night of the Samurai," a super bantamweight bout (up to 55.3 kg) took place between 27-year-old former world champion Junto Nakatani (32-0, 24 KOs) and 25-year-old Mexican Sebastian Reyes (20-1, 18 KOs).

The fight concluded with a unanimous decision victory for Junto Nakatani: 115-113 (twice) and 118-110.

This was Nakatani's debut in the new weight class. In his previous five fights, Reyes had secured four stoppage victories and one win by decision.
