Joe Rogan on Jake vs Joshua: “Anthony will be a terrifying opponent”

Commentator Joe Rogan shared his expectations for the fight between influencer-boxer Jake Paul and former Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

“There’s some kind of rehydration clause in there, I guess. But listen, guys, it doesn’t change anything. There’s no chance Anthony Joshua won’t cut weight ahead of time. He won’t come in drained. The only thing he’ll do is add more cardio, and that will only make him even more dangerous.

He’s going to be a terrifying opponent and he’s got something to prove. He’s going to be really angry that Jake Paul wants to fight him. It annoys him that this YouTuber fought Tommy Fury — and that’s a real boxer — and a few other real boxers, and that’s it.

Because all his other opponents were Ben Askren, who was a wrestler; Tyron Woodley — an elite MMA fighter, but not an elite boxer; Nate Robinson — a basketball player. Yeah, he also fought Anderson Silva and even knocked him down. But Silva, even though he’s a very good puncher, is already over forty — it’s a different time, he’s not the fighter he used to be. And here you’ve got a 36-year-old Anthony Joshua. That’s a frightening man. Truly frightening,” said Rogan.

Paul (12-1, 7 KO) vs Joshua (28-4, 25 KO) will take place on December 19 in Miami, USA. The eight-round Heavyweight clash will be streamed on Netflix.
