American influencer and heavyweight boxer Jake Paul has reflected on his performance against Britain’s former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua.
“I won two rounds, he won two, and then I got knocked down. I thought I looked good, it’s just that the mental pressure from being in there with such a big guy feels different. I could feel his punching power much more.
All in all, it was an amazing experience to share the ring with a fighter of that level. I learned a lot,” Paul said on the Impaulsive podcast.
To recap, on 19 December Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) defeated Jake Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) by knockout in the sixth round. The Briton dropped Paul three times before the final finishing shot, which left the American with a broken jaw in two places. According to The Ring, the judges at ringside did not award Paul a single round.
