Official: Weight Limit and Status of Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis

The fight between influencer and cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul and WBA Lightweight champion Gervonta Davis will be an exhibition match.

This was announced by Nakisa Bidarian, CEO and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, during the press conference dedicated to the fight.

“The parties have reached an agreement, and the commission has approved a maximum weight of 195 pounds (88.5 kg) for this exhibition bout,” Bidarian said.

It has also been confirmed that the fight will be scheduled for 10 rounds of three minutes each, with 12-ounce gloves.

Gervonta Davis, commenting on the conditions, admitted he had expected the weight limit to be 190 pounds (86.2 kg).

Gervonta Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) is the world champion at 135 pounds (61.2 kg), while Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) last fought at Cruiserweight, weighing in at 200 pounds (90.7 kg).

The bout will take place on November 14 in Miami, USA. The event will be streamed on Netflix.
