No Hrgovic vs. Chisora Fight: Filip Claims He Is "Too Dangerous for Old Men"

Derek Chisora, Filip Hrgovic

33-year-old Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgovic is confident that a match between him and 42-year-old British veteran Derek Chisora will never be sanctioned.

“I’m too dangerous for him. He’s too old. You know, I’m too dangerous.

I think the British Boxing Board of Control wouldn't allow this fight because I’m too dangerous for old men,” Hrgovic said.

Chisora’s (36-13, 23 KOs) next fight will be the 50th of his career. He previously announced that he intends to retire after this milestone bout. Derek had planned to fight in late 2025, but an opponent was not secured at that time. Chisora enters this stage on a three-fight winning streak, having defeated Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce, and Otto Wallin via decision.

In his previous two outings, Hrgovic (19-1, 14 KOs) secured decision victories, outpointing Joe Joyce and David Adeleye in 10-round contests.
