Gennadiy Golovkin Among Candidates for Boxing Hall of Fame

BoxingScene has reported the names of candidates for induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) in 2026.

The list includes Gennadiy Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs), Vernon Forrest (41-3, 29 KOs), and Steve Collins (36-3, 21 KOs).

To be eligible, fighters must have been retired for at least three years. Golovkin, while never officially announcing a full retirement and occasionally suggesting a comeback, now appears headed toward legendary status.

At present, Golovkin also serves as the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan.
