Former unified world champion Errol Spence answered a question regarding whether he plans to return to the ring.
“I’ll come back when I’m ready.
I’m taking care of my family. I’m with my kids. My son and my two girls are playing sports. I’m with my fiancée, my mom, my dad. Traveling the world and just enjoying life,” stated Spence.
Errol has not stepped into the ring since 2023. At that time, he lost by stoppage in the fight for the undisputed championship against Terence Crawford. After that, there were talks about a rematch, which Spence had the contractual right to enforce. However, he decided not to activate that clause.
Subsequently, Errol intended to fight at Junior Middleweight. He even called out champion Sebastian Fundora for a bout. However, the teams were ultimately unable to agree on the confrontation.
