The trainer of WBA Lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis, Kenny Ellis, discussed how, in his opinion, the meeting between Keyshawn Davis and Jamaine Ortiz, which will take place on January 31 in New York, USA, might end.

I like this fight. I think Ortiz has been in the ring with better opponents, you know what I mean? He didn't win, but he stood against the best opponents. So this is a good test for Keyshawn. I think that Keyshawn is a little physically stronger than Ortiz.

I bet that the fight will last all 12 rounds. Judges' decision. I don't know who will win there. It's hard to choose. I think Keyshawn is a little stronger, however Ortiz possesses more intensity than Keyshawn.

“Davis’s previous opponents didn't have any footwork. And Ortiz uses the ring. He has pretty good legs. Therefore for Keyshawn this will be a difficult task in the early rounds. If he can hurt Ortiz and slow him down, then he will be fine. But if you don't hurt him — he will have a lot of work, you know.

It will be a close decision, a draw is possible,” said Ellis.

The bout between Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) and Jamaine Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs) will take place on the undercard of the meeting between Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez.
