Chisora explains Parker’s loss: “Usyk won’t allow that to happen”

British heavyweight Derek Chisora has broken down why Fabio Wardley defeated Joseph Parker on October 25 at the O2 Arena in London – and why things would be very different against Oleksandr Usyk.

“The reason Wardley won that fight is because Parker allowed him to. Usyk won’t allow that. Usyk will make you work even when you don’t want to work, you understand? In that fight there were so many pauses. Both were taking breaks — they’d throw shots, then step back to recover. But Oleksandr Usyk won’t let you recover. He’ll force you to move, constantly move, and still punch. That will be a completely different level,” Chisora said.

Wardley stopped Parker in the 11th round after a prolonged assault. At the moment of the stoppage, Joseph was ahead on two of the three judges’ scorecards.
