Oscar De La Hoya on Zurdo’s Return: “There Are Many Big Names”

Oscar De La Hoya, head of Golden Boy and promoter of Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, the WBA and WBO champion at Cruiserweight, shared when he expects the Mexican to return to the ring.

“First of all, I want to see him fully recover. I want to see him back in the ring in January or February.

Ramirez vs. Opetaia? There are many big names. Who knows, maybe Zurdo against David Benavidez,” De La Hoya said in an interview with DAZN.

Gilberto Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) defeated Yuniel Dorticos by unanimous decision in June.
