British boxer Derek Chisora commented on the possibility of a potential duel against American former Heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder.

– Derek, an intense stare-down between you and Deontay Wilder. This fight has been talked about for many years. Will it happen?

– We’ll see. Let’s see if George Warren wants to organize it.

– So the fight might happen?

– It will happen. It will happen — and it is going to happen.

– Is this the ideal opponent for you for the 50th fight of your career?

– Yes.

– You consider this the right opponent for the milestone fight?

– The right opponent. I don’t want an easy walk. I’m in shape. Of course, I’m in shape. I want to give the people a good fight. So the right opponent.

– Is he at the top of your list?

– Everyone is at the top of my list. Everyone can get a fight.

– What do you say about the talk regarding Deontay Wilder? People say he is a different fighter. How do you see him as an opponent — has he changed?

– The Deontay I saw today is different. Not like before. He is charged up. I think he went through some madness over the last year. And I believe that today I saw a completely different guy, said Chisora.

Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) last entered the ring in February against Otto Wallin and won by unanimous decision. It is expected that the next bout will be the last in the Briton’s career.

In June, Deontay Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) defeated Tyrrell Herndon by technical knockout in the 7th round. According to the American himself, he is currently negotiating a fight with three-time undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
