Boxing Scene: Deontay Wilder Signs Contract for Next Fight

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43–4–1, 42 KOs) and Curtis Harper (18–11, 12 KOs) have signed a contract for an upcoming bout, according to Boxing Scene, citing an official familiar with the situation.

The fight is scheduled for April 26 in Atlanta, USA, and will be broadcast on the BLK Prime platform.

Wilder had planned to officially announce his return on Saturday at a press conference in Los Angeles, but the event was canceled due to massive wildfires engulfing Southern California.

In June, Deontay Wilder suffered a fifth-round TKO loss to Zhang Zhilei, marking his fourth defeat in his last five fights.

On December 3, Curtis Harper stopped François Russell by TKO in the second round.
