Golden Boy Promotions has officially announced the fight between WBO cruiserweight champion (up to 90.7 kg) Chris Billam-Smith (20-1, 13 KOs) and WBA titleholder Gilberto Ramirez (46-1, 30 KOs).
The main event of the "Latinos Night" boxing show, part of the Riyadh Season on November 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be headlined by WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith (20-1, 13 KOs) facing WBA champion Gilberto Ramirez (46-1, 30 KOs).
Additionally, several other exciting bouts have been confirmed for the undercard of this mega event:
- Jose Ramirez (29-1, 18 KOs) vs. Arnold Barboza (30-0, 11 KOs)
- William Zepeda (31-0, 27 KOs) vs. Tevin Farmer (33-6-1, 8 KOs)
- Oscar Collazo (10-0, 7 KOs) vs. Edwin Hernandez (13-2-1, 4 KOs)
- Oscar Duarte (27-2-1, 22 KOs) vs. Kenneth Sims (21-2-1, 8 KOs)
Turki Alalshikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, previously announced that the show will be broadcast for free.
Chris Billam-Smith last stepped into the ring in June, where he won a unanimous decision in a rematch against Richard Riakporhe (17-1, 13 KOs). Riakporhe handed Billam-Smith his only career loss back in July 2019.
Gilberto Ramirez, in March, defeated Arsen Goulamirian (27-1, 19 KOs) by unanimous decision, becoming the first Mexican cruiserweight champion in history.
