26-year-old Mexican Armando Reséndiz has become the full WBA super middleweight champion, reports The Ring.
Reséndiz, who had held the interim belt, was elevated after Terence Crawford announced his retirement from boxing.
Reséndiz will likely make his first title defense on 21 February against Edgar Berlanga, on the undercard of the bout between Mario Barrios and Ryan Garcia.
In May, Armando Reséndiz (16-2, 11 KOs) defeated Caleb Plant by split decision to win the interim WBA super middleweight title.
