Alycia Baumgardner outboxes Leila Beaudoin

On December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, USA, local world champion Alycia Baumgardner (17-1, 7 KOs) defended her WBA, WBO and IBF super featherweight titles (up to 59 kg) against Canada’s Leila Beaudoin (13-2, 2 KOs).

The fight went the full 12-round distance and ended in a unanimous decision win for Baumgardner. The judges scored it 118–109 and 117–110 twice in favor of the American champion. Beaudoin was knocked down in the seventh round.

In July, Baumgardner defeated Jennifer Miranda via unanimous decision. Beaudoin sees her four-fight winning streak come to an end.
