Alimkhanuly on Fight With Lara: “I’m going for Knockout of the Year”

WBO and IBF Middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly commented on his upcoming opponent, WBA titleholder Erislandy Lara.

“Lara said that I still haven’t fought anyone on his level. Well, I’ve got something to say to him too — he hasn’t faced anyone on my level either. I’m going for Knockout of the Year!” Alimkhanuly wrote.

Janibek (17-0, 12 KO) will face Lara (31-3-3, 19 KO) on December 6, 2025. Erislandy hasn’t boxed since the fall of 2024, when he scored a stoppage win over Danny Garcia. Janibek is riding a streak of four straight stoppage victories.
