Alimkhanuly–Lara unification set for December 6

A middleweight title unification bout (up to 72.6 kg / 160 lbs) between WBO and IBF champion Zhanibek Alimkhanuly and WBA titleholder Erislandy Lara is officially set for December 6, reports BoxingScene.

The fight will take place in San Antonio, USA, serving as the co-main event of the evening headlined by Isaac Cruz vs Lamont Roach for the interim WBC super lightweight title. The card will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime via PPV.

Earlier this year, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly (17-0, 12 KOs) stopped Andaule Ngamissengue in the fifth round, while Erislandy Lara (31-3-3, 19 KOs) last fought in September 2024, earning a stoppage victory over Danny Garcia after the opponent’s corner retired at the end of the ninth round.
